Secrets of Asherah has, for many years, used Proboards. It was our first forum and we've gone through probably three Proboards addresses, with a PhpBB forum that lasted for precisely one day back in the fall of 2003. Proboards is a commercial site and run ads. Naturally, of course, we don't have a say in the content or placement of the ads, and don't get any of income from them. It costs $94 a year to make the board ad-free, but it wouldn't stop them from gathering information about our users. (We, by the way, run ad-blockers which make us forget the ads are running for everyone else.)

-You can sort by subject, author, number of replies, number of views and by order in which the post were made. Simply click on the heading to sort them.
-Almost ridiculously easy to post attachments.
-Two layers of "security" to (hopefully) prevent ad spamming by "members".
The logo we're using is a modified version of a portion of a GUI made by Rawr for our new internet site and posted August 24, 2004. We added the Gryphon and Wolf to this version. The color scheme and layout is very similar to our second site format. The first one (posted the first week in October 2003 was light blue and white.
So go ahead and register. Don't use your real name - use your game name, or the name of your "main" if you have several accounts. Your email address can contain your real name, since it will not be displayed to the public. There are bots (and unscrupulous people) that slurp up email addresses from forums and use them to do all sorts of mischief.
