Very nice. :) Been doing a bit of much needed home computer maintenance. Other than that, doing a bit of research on types of methods of CPU cooling.

That and finding a better method than using bookmarks as documentation of information. XD

Dire's still around.  He pops into the forums once or twice every week or two.

Good to hear from you!

The new client is coming along; I believe I just finished fixing any bugs that were apparent during the last couple tests. Here's a quick report:

  • Fixed a bug where player "paths" would interrupt one another from time to time
  • Fixed exits, warps, and typical screen changes, such as when entering a building, or walking to the edge of the map

Other than that, some serverside stuff, but so far so good.  8)

I'm currently taking two lecture classes and a lab for the summer, and I just got a job at Busch Gardens.  That starts for real in the morning (6 June 2014).  So, if anyone goes on vacation in Florida, come say hello!

I was able to go back to my parents' house for a few days, so I now have the doodad that lets me hook my camera up to my laptop, so expect a massive influx of more pictures from my trip to Chile, Ash (and everyone else, of course).  I have plenty of stories to tell, so prepare to hear some stuff.  I'll try to borrow (shamelessly copy and save from Facebook) pictures a friend with an amazing camera (thousands of dollars of equipment, really) took of the night sky (including a few distant galaxies!).

At the end of the month, I'll have more free time to talk to people and play catch-up or whatever you kids play these days.  But by the end of August, I'll be starting up the fall semester with an insane class schedule (two geology labs, a geology lecture, and two high-level chemistry lectures and labs.  I'm expecting to add a calculus class on top of that, AND work.  I've been told I might literally lose my mind.).

If anyone ever wants to chat, you can find me on Steam (if you so use that program) at leoleonidas1.

Alternatively, you are all free to email me at this address.  I'll try to remember to delete personal information from my automatic signature in my responses. (basically, just my phone number, unless you weirdos want to "text" at me)

I'd link my facebook, but I'm sure I'm pushing the boundaries already, so Kaneda Ash might have something to say about that.

Asherah, I sent you the document I made on skills. I'd love to hear what you think when you get the chance.  :)

Sorry about that - I'll let the comp rest and try it again in the morning. It seems to be able to last about 2 1/2 hours. Nice talking to you guys and take care!

Looking forward to seeing you again and chatting. I got the messages before the game went down (was afk when you typed them up.) Looking forward, as well, to the design of this new client!

In other news, the diagrams I said I would have for you by tomorrow will appear to be more like a rough storyboard. I will also send those when they are available. :)

I have experience with Actionscript, which Lingo is the predecessor of.

Lingo seems to be an easy read language. The main complexity would be organizing the functions. Within the source I notice there's a lot of random little tidbits of code here and there.

I'll try to make an educated decision around the end of this weekend.

I'd like to see what you've been developing though ^-^ always curious how things work and don't work, how people think and organize projects etc.

Do you have a history in Director coding?

Also, I appreciate your interest in the client I'm developing. At the moment, I don't feel like it's my place to release it yet after all; Asherah and I have been talking about our goals in regards to this client, though, and we will announce when it is playable at a later date.
