Title: Life Invasions
Post by: Diredog on October 28, 2013, 11:56:19 AM
That awkward moment when someone you met on Asherah now knows/works with a friend you went to high school with.

Anyone else have something similar happen?

(Obvious exception is Troqus and I's friendship; we knew each other outside of this wonderful little game beforehand)

That's an incredible example of "It's a small world" lol. I've had personal friends on the game, but never met someone who knew of it beforehand.

According to some study every person knows between 500 and 1500 other people, which means that potentially up to 40.5 MILLION people know someone who plays or has played SOA. That's about one in 7 or 8 people in the US.

This is, of course, terribly unscientific for a lot of reasons but even if it's HALF that, it's still pretty amazing.

Well, I personally know a lot of the people who used to play. This is probably because at one point the games population consisted of y group of school friends. Some of these people include:

Jordankid (kbhostes)
Killermeelmo
Firestrike (Valor)
Castle (Happy)
Wasteco
TheAce (Crazybob)
Erk
Dias
Chubalatigg
Godzilla

I'm sure the list goes on aha!

The closest I've come is meeting somebody who lived 20 minutes away from me. But that was on a web browser game. Plus I've also met people over xbox live who lived about an hour away from me. But that's the closest I can relate to this situation.
